Another first for me being featured in Woman & Home. It was a fun experience, an interview first with journalist Samantha Downes with searching questions on my journey to leaving the law and setting up my new petite brand. I haven't done many interviews so far but she was really easy to talk to which was quite a relief.
The photoshoot for the article took place back in November in a studio in Deptford in South London. Although I had been involved in photoshoots for the Jennifer Anne collection this was a totally different experience. Luckily for me the two other ladies being featured in the article were just lovely and great fun to be with: Sarah Greenaway and Lindsay Cornelissen.
Sarah had set up Mosami which works with talented British designers to create beautiful jewellery. Customers to her website can shop in the normal way by product/collections or somewhat more unusually by wish - friendship, happiness, loyalty, wellbeing, love, new beginnings, hope, luck courage and joy. It is a lovely concept and Sarah is very passionate about her fabulous new venture. I do recommend you taking a look at her jewellery and some I think would be particularly lovely on petite women
Lindsay like me used to work in the City but was in banking rather than law. Her interest in wine led her to qualifying with a top wine diploma (the next step is Master of Wine!). Lindsay left the City and went on to set up Wines With Attitude, an independent wine merchant which focusses on sourcing fabulous wine from smaller often family run producers. So the wines Lindsay stocks won't be found on the High Street or in the supermarkets. There is a lovely picture on the Wines with Attitude Website of Lindsay receiving her diploma from Jancis Robinson a top wine critic and journalist.
If you love good wine then peruse the collection and enjoy! https://www.wineswithattitude.co.uk/
The three of us connected so well, we have a lot in common - each having started up a new business in a brand new sector to the one we had worked in for so long. We have met up since and continue to exchange tips and experiences. So a big thank you to Woman & Home for having brought us together!
